Hi Astrid! Would you like to introduce yourself? We are very curious about your story!

My name is Astrid Derks, 60 years old and I worked in the financial sector for 20 years. Now I've been working as a receptionist, planner and hostess at ThermenLamer in Almere for 18 years. My job requires a representative appearance, which motivates me to keep looking well-groomed.

Can you tell us if you've ever had any insecurities?

I've always been slim throughout my life, which has many benefits. However, as I got older, I noticed that this turned out to be less beneficial in my face. I started to have “hamster cheeks” and deeper lines, which gave me a tired or dissatisfied look.

Because I had never had cosmetic procedures before, I thought it was quite a big step. Despite this, I still don't regret my decision to go to Aēstec today.

What treatment have you undergone to prevent skin sagging?

The Aēslift liquid facelift. This treatment has given me a boost not only physically, but also mentally. The difference is subtle, but the hamster cheeks have been significantly reduced and the wrinkles have become less deep.

How did you experience the treatment?

The treatment itself was easy to do without any anaesthesia, and I had no problems with it afterwards either. At most, I noticed a slight swelling in the jawline and some bruising.

How do you look at getting older?

Although there is still room for improvement, for example by adding a little more volume to my cheeks because of my thin skin, I still don't want to exaggerate and maintain my own identity. For me, the most important thing remains to age healthily.
