Your safety comes first to us. Learn how ultrasound contributes to a safer treatment and an even more natural result.
At Aēstec, we do everything we can to give you a fresh, young look that matches how you feel. However, there is one thing even more important than a good result: your safety.
Aēstec is one of the first clinics in the Netherlands to offer filler treatments under ultrasound supervision.
By means of ultrasound, the doctor can map blood vessels and nerves during and/or before treatment. This allows the doctor to avoid them while injecting the fillers, minimizing the risk of complications.
By using ultrasound during treatment, the doctor can guide the needle or cannula precisely through the layers of the skin and inject the filler in the right place. This reduces the risk of unwanted spread of the filler to other areas or uneven distribution, which can lead to undesirable aesthetic results.
Sometimes filler causes unnatural results because too many and too often fillers are injected into the wrong layer of skin. From the research we did in collaboration with Erasmus MC, we know that this is simply because doctors cannot judge from the outside which layer of skin is being pricked.
Ultrasound helps determine the correct injection depth (skin layer), especially in deeper tissues such as the cheeks, where determining depth is crucial. Not only for safety, but especially for a natural-looking result.
In addition to the fact that our doctors use ultrasound before and during the treatment, it can also come in handy after the end of a filler treatment. Especially for detecting permanent fillers (which, fortunately, are now prohibited) or for detecting fillers that have given you an unpleasant result due to previous treatments at other clinics.
We can't ignore the use of ultrasound during, before or after a filler treatment, and are happy to offer you a safe treatment with a natural-looking result.
