It has been scientifically proven that Profhilo® stimulates the production of four different types of collagen and elastin in the skin and fat cells. They call this bioremodelling. Both the deeper skin layer and the top layer of the skin are hydrated, resulting in an improvement in the texture, natural glow and condition of the skin. Profhilo® is performed in a series of at least 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart.
During a profhilo treatment, small injections of pure hyaluronic acid are applied into different layers of the skin. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, two essential components that help improve skin structure. Profhilo has been specially developed to treat sagging skin and can be applied to multiple areas, including the face and neck.

Profhilo and fillers are different from each other. This is because fillers offer the skin extra volume, while Profhilo is a skin booster. It consists of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance produced by the body. This stimulates the skin to make extra elastin and collagen, giving you smooth and radiant skin.
You can get back to your daily activities right away, but it is advisable not to exercise, go to the spa and/or use the tanning bed 48 hours after the treatment. In addition, it is important to always wear a good sunscreen!
To achieve the optimal result, a minimum of 2 Profhilo treatments are required, with one month between each treatment. The natural result becomes visible after approximately 6-8 weeks. Because the skin has to work from the inside out, this process takes longer than, for example, a filler treatment, where immediate results are visible.
